Fresh Kicks, Fresh Start 2026 is coming to AYSA on Monday, August 17 | 5:00–7:00 PM! This year’s event is designed specifically for students entering 6th–12th grade and will feature brand-new shoes, hygiene products, backpacks, free food, music, open gym, and more!

About the Event
We’ve made a few exciting changes this year!
With so many back-to-school events happening throughout our community, we wanted to ensure families have access to support when they need it most. That’s why Let Us Breathe Abilene’s Fresh Kicks, Fresh Start has been moved to Monday, August 17, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Abilene Youth Sports Authority (AYSA).
This year, our program will focus on students entering 6th through 12th grade. We recognize that many wonderful organizations are already serving children in Pre-K through 5th grade, so we’re intentionally filling the gap by supporting middle and high school students with brand-new shoes and hygiene products to help them start the school year with confidence and dignity.
We’re also excited to welcome the Starbucks Foundation as a neighborhood community partner! Through this partnership, students will receive backpacks while supplies last, helping them head back to school prepared…
